Last Opportunity for Grant Funding for Cambridgeshire businesses

Small and medium sized businesses in Cambridgeshire have been taking advantage of grant funding in order to identify the cost and carbon savings that can be made through becoming more energy efficient.

Thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), BEECP has been offering fully funded energy efficiency reviews and grants towards the implementation of energy efficiency measures since Spring 2017. Interest in the grant scheme has increased significantly since the start of 2019 and the programme, delivered by Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT), has now allocated over £350,000 worth of grants to businesses in the wider Cambridgeshire area. With so many grants being offered over the last few months and a good number going to grant panel this week, it will be too long before all available funds have been allocated. Therefore, businesses who may be interested in grant funding are urged to get in touch with BEECP this week as the grant scheme will be closed to new applications at the end of July.

There are general eligibility criteria that need to be met to qualify for support from BEECP, but typically 95% of organisations contacting the programme are likely to be eligible. Interested parties can find out more and register their interest at www.beecp.org/sign-up or by emailing info@beecp.co.uk or calling 01733 882549
