First come, first served – just 40 fully funded energy efficiency reviews now available

Cambridgeshire businesses cut carbon and save money

Small and medium sized businesses in Cambridgeshire have been taking advantage of fully funded energy efficiency reviews in order to identify the cost and carbon savings that can be made through becoming more energy efficient, thanks to funding from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

The energy efficiency reviews are provided by the Business Energy Efficiency programme (BEE), run by the charity Peterborough Environment City Trust (PECT), and support businesses by identifying priority projects that reduce costs, cut carbon and create a more sustainable business model.

Over the past two years, BEE has supported over 230 businesses, identifying over £1.2million of potential cost savings and carbon savings in excess of 6,300 tonnes, the equivalent of over 1145 flights from London to Sydney.

BEE can help identify potential funding sources to implement energy efficiency projects such as LED lighting; Heating & Cooling; Insulation; Solar PV & Battery Storage. Currently, due to previous grant applicants not drawing down all of the money available to them, BEE have a small number of grants still available. Applications MUST be completed by 20th December.

Visits are available on a first come-first served basis, and Cambridgeshire businesses are urged to reserve their slot now as BEE have just 40 fully funded energy reviews still available. Visits need to be undertaken by February 2020.

Contact the BEE team today by emailing info@beecp.co.uk, calling 01733 882549 or visit www.beecp.org/sign-up to find out how you can save money on your business energy bills.
